Dr. Paul Harch

Hyperbaric oxygen treatment (HBOT)

Dr. Paul Harch is a world-renowned HBOT expert. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Former director of the University Medical Center Hyperbaric Medicine Department and LSU Hyperbaric Medicine Fellowship. Currently, he is a Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Section of Emergency Medicine at LSU School of Medicine. Patients have traveled from more than 50 countries to be treated by Dr. Harch. Published author of numerous scientific articles, research studies & book THE OXYGEN REVOLUTION. Dr. Harch’s bio is several pages long, if interested, please access it on www.hbot.com

Dr. Harch’s work is a New Orleans story. What began as a curiosity to explore New Orleans, travel, and practice emergency medicine led to an interface with the New Orleans/Gulf of Mexico diving industry and diving medicine.  A casual observation in treatment of injured divers inadvertently generated what appeared to be a rabbit-hole pursuit chasing clinical improvements in patients. The surprising result was the re-discovery and expansion of a centuries old controversial treatment, HBOT, for neurological and other diseases that would never had happened if not for the providential convergence of geography, culture, and timing in New Orleans.
