Dr Paul Harch was interviewed as part of the “What is Autism Series” by Autism Hope Alliance. He discusses Autism and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT).
Kristin: I am honored to introduce our next doctor, Dr Paul Harch. Thank you so much for being here today!
Dr Paul Harch: My pleasure, thank you for inviting me.
Kristin: Today we’re gonna be talking about a really, really important topic. Before we start can you talk to those that are watching a little bit about your background in your history and where your office is located.
Dr Paul Harch: The second question is the easy one I’m located in New Orleans suburb of New Orleans. But then I work at the University of New Orleans.
How this happened and my background, I started in general surgery, had a very bad car accident my training period, took a medical leave. I had to make a living. Ended up in emergency medicine and then got an invitation to apply for a job New Orleans while I was living in Denver. I got involved in an emergency medicine, hospital group and we were the diving and hyperbaric medicine treatment center for Gulf of Mexico Central and South Central United States for diving accents.
I was new to diving and hyperbaric medicine that started asking questions on something that really perplexed me. Which was why our divers with brain decompression sickness we’re not getting cured, like the US Navy predicted they should. One thing led to the next and I made a discovery with my senior partner that we could treat this chronic brain decompression sickness in divers and simultaneously…
