Janie Fuller, 51, was an excellent former paramedic and a motorcycle rider. Unfortunately she ended up in an accident and as a result, suffered a traumatic brain injury. She recently appeared on the television program 4WWL, telling the story of how she got this injury and how her life improved after she became one of our TBI study patients.

In this television appearance Jane explains that she was dizzy, had a lack of balance, kept falling and that her memory was gone. Following this, she became a home body until she joined the free study by Dr. Harch. The study was conducted by Dr. Harch after congress awarded him with a grant to use his treatment on veterans and people who have suffered brain damage.
“It’s surprising that even many years out, we’re having patients with substantial improvement,” Said Dr. Harch, noting that the sooner a patient is treated after an injury, the better the result.
After the 40 hyperbaric oxygen treatments Janie received she said: “I have a life again, like my memory is 1,000 times better. I cook all the time now. I’ve started reading that book again but I don’t have to keep re-reading the same chapters. I don’t have the adequate words to make you understand how amazing this has been for me.”
The brain injury study at LSU Health Sciences Center is open to adults, including veterans, from anywhere in the U.S.
Openings are still available. To see if you qualify for the free treatments call 504-427-5632. or go to www.hbottbistudy.org
