Retired Army General leads the fight for HBOT for veterans in Indiana

[stm_post_details]

James L. Bauerle is a retired Army Brigadier General, Vice President and Legislative Chariman for the Military/ Veterans Coalition of Indiana, he is leading the fight for HBOT for veterans in Indiana. In this article he mentions the effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment with soldiers. Pointing to the work of Dr. Harch, who in 2008 applied his technique to combat veterans with traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder from concussive blasts. Who have, so far, has a significant recovery.

He thinks that one investment that needs to be made by Indiana General Assembly and Gov. Eric Holcomb’s administration, is to invest in the medical care of our veterans. He states that two of the most significant issues facing veterans today are TBI and PTSD, with thousands of Hoosiers experiencing this. The current VA care isn’t working, how can this be changed?

Could HBOT be the answer? He states: “Nothing supersedes evidence/good data/science. We need $2 million in funding for a world-class hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment program, conducted in existing Indiana clinics.”
